Utility work on Kingshighway

February 14 through the 20th marks the start of six consecutive weekends of extensive utility work in northbound Kingshighway to support the new patient care tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Work on subsequent weekends will not be as disruptive and will take place Friday evening through early Monday morning. North-bound traffic from 1-64 will be shifted into one South-bound lane this weekend. This will cause significant delays on Kinghshighway in both directions, as well as on Highway 64/40. Please plan to allow at least 15 extra minutes to arrive for your reservation, and use detours if possible. Take exit 36B towards Tower Grove Ave.
At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Tower Grove Ave.
Slight left - stay on Tower Grove Ave.
Turn right onto Clayton Ave.
Turn left onto S. Boyle.
Head west on Forest Park Ave toward S. Newstead Ave.
Turn right on to S. Taylor Ave.
Turn Left onto Laclede Ave.
